Welcome to the Nest

The last post was on 07/31/2025! Come check it out!
Hey all! I'm your average online creature that loves the old-school Internet. I have a professional website for boring work purposes, but I decided to start a silly personal blog without my real information attached because that's fun! We like to have fun here!
This site will stay up no matter how much (or how little) traction it gets. It's a place for me to braindump publicly and do silly reviews and updates on my life because modern social media is very boring to me.
This site is pretty barebones but I do intend to use it as a fun little blog for random rambles. Feel free to poke around or shoot me a message on my socials or in the guestbook if you wanna chat! i don't bite :)
By the way you should totally pet that rat up there. He totally doesn't have a musical bone in his body. Go ahead, click him.
I have very few rules for this corner of the Internet:
- Don't be a dick — to myself, yourself (unironically), or anyone else
- Refrain from taking what is not yours (especially writing theft)
- fascists, racists, pedos and creeps, any kind of "phobes," stay away
- trans rights
- We don't need any more rules than those, right? Don't make me change my mind.
About This Site
I started the Rat's Nest in June 2025 because I wanted a cute place to yap about whatever I wanted. Literally no other reason.
This site is hosted by Neocities and written in pure vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No crazy frameworks, no fancy CSS tech, nothing but the basics. I use Visual Studio Code for writing the site, but a lot of the time I often just code directly on Neocities which is why this thing has so many updates on my profile. (I am sure that will change in the near future because of how admittedly inefficient and dangerous that is.) Additionally I try to use copyright-free images as much as possible for the theming of the website from sites like Pexels.
Mind the clutter while I work. Right now I'm focused on building up the site, so some things may sporadically break or look very different if I'm working on a page. Sorry! If something is broken, try doing a hard refresh (CTRL + F5) to see if it got fixed since the last time you visited.
